T-BOLTS ORGANIZATION
WINS AWARDS

Nashville (March 22, 2009) - The American Basketball Association named the Knoxville Thunderbolts as Runner-Up in two prestigious awards for the 2008-2009 season. The Thunderbolts were named as runner-up as the Franchise of the Year and General Manager Chris Glisson was named runner-up as Executive of the Year for the entire 62-team ABA. The Kentucky Bisons placed first in both categories.

ABA CEO Joe Newman made the announcement following the championship game which saw the Kentucky Bisons beat the Maywood Buzz for the title, 127-120.

"I am honored on both counts, especially when considering this league has 60 teams" said Glisson. "To be named in such high regard when looking at the likes of such top organizations as Southeast Texas, Nashville and Chicago, well, this is pretty special. Our staff and players are to be commended. They were the ones who pulled together. This was truly a team effort, and I am proud of everyone in the Bolts organization. And wait until next year - our goal of bringing home the championship is the next step."
